The Courageous Steps Project’s Step Forward Sports program has built a scholarship fund to provide children and young adults with developmental challenges, the opportunity to play sports through the new Step Forward Sports program, without the worries of finances. In order to guarantee a fair and consistent process, we have established these guidelines for the Step Forward Sports Scholarship Fund. 

Partial Scholarships

Step Forward Sports can award partial scholarships to cover at least quarter and up to half of the cost of a sports program of choosing. In order to qualify for a scholarship, the following must be completed:

- An email sent to [email protected], with the guardian’s name, the child’s name, their age, and grade level entering into. 

- Your estimated weekly and monthly income (parent/guardian). 

- Your specific needs on the partial scholarship. 

- Reason why you want to be apart of the Step Forward Sports Program.

Full Scholarships

Step Forward Sports can award full scholarships to cover the entire cost of a sports program of choosing. A person is eligible for one full scholarship per calendar year. In order to qualify for a scholarship, the following must be completed:

- An email sent to [email protected], with the guardian’s name, the child’s name, their age, and grade level entering into. 

- Your estimated weekly and monthly income (parent/guardian). 

- Your specific needs on the partial scholarship. 

- Reason why you want to be apart of the Step Forward Sports Program. 

NOTE: Due to the amount of scholarship requests that come in, we may not be able to grant every request due to the limited funds in the scholarship fund. Payment plans are available for families that need to split their payment up. Email [email protected], for more information!
